【World Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, Pasona Group Pavilion NEWS】Presentation of “VIP Attendant Haute Couture Dresses”

Showcasing Japanese Culture through Fashion

On 3 September, 2024, the costumes worn by the VIP attendants at the Pasona NATUREVERSE Pavilion were unveiled.

The costumes were designed by 97-year-old active fashion designer Harumi Fujimoto, who incorporates traditional Japanese crafts such as Nishijin brocade and Yuzen dyeing in her dresses.

Through designs that extensively use traditional Japanese materials and techniques, Japanese culture will be showcased to people from all over the world who visit EXPO.

A recent study by the Ministry of Manpower found that 19.4% of resident workers in Singapore were overqualified for their jobs in 2025, up from 16.3% in 2015.
However, the majority of these workers had intentionally chosen such roles, often prioritising factors such as work-life balance, flexibility, personal interests, or career transitions over job titles or qualification matching.
